Standard blackjack against the dealer, staked in Old School RuneScape gold. Six decks, blackjack pays 3:2, and the entire shoe order is fixed and hashed before the first card is dealt - so the deck cannot be restacked mid-hand.

How to play Blackjack

  1. Set your stake, and add Perfect Pairs, 21+3 or Lucky Ladies on the side if you want them.
  2. Deal. You get two cards face up; the dealer gets one face up and one face down. If the dealer has blackjack, the hand ends there.
  3. Hit to take another card, stand to keep your total, or double on your first two cards to double the stake and take exactly one more.
  4. Split a pair into two hands by putting up a second stake of the same size. You can split once, and split aces get one card each.
  5. The dealer draws to 16 and stands on every 17. Blackjack pays 3:2, other wins pay 1:1, and a tie returns your stake.
  6. Side bets are settled on the deal and pay out whatever happens to the main hand.

About Blackjack

Played with correct basic strategy, blackjack returns about 99.5% - the best on the site, ahead of Mines, Dice and Crash. Played on instinct it is considerably worse, which is the honest trade: it's the one game here where your decisions change the return.

The three side bets are the opposite proposition: Perfect Pairs, 21+3 and Lucky Ladies all hit rarely and pay big when they do. They are a long shot rather than a value play - treat them as the flourish, not the reason you sat down.

The shoe is shuffled by a Fisher-Yates pass over six ordered decks using floats from the round's seed pair, and its hash is shown before the deal. When you rotate your seed you can regenerate the exact shoe order and check it against the hash you were given.

Blackjack FAQ

What is the house edge on blackjack here?

Around 99.5% RTP with correct basic strategy on this six-deck, 3:2 rule set - the highest on the site. That is the standard basic-strategy figure rather than one solved from this exact shoe, and it is published as such.

What are the blackjack side bets?

Perfect Pairs pays when your two cards are a pair, 21+3 pays when your two cards and the dealer's up-card make a three-card poker hand, and Lucky Ladies pays when your two cards total twenty. All three hit rarely and pay big - a long shot alongside the main hand, not a substitute for it.

Can the deck be rigged against me?

The full shoe order is fixed and hashed before the first card is dealt, and the hash is shown to you. Rotating your seed reveals the server seed so you can regenerate the shoe and confirm it matches.

Does blackjack pay 3:2?

Yes. 3:2, not the 6:5 that quietly triples the house edge on a lot of tables.
